Well-cooked dals ( lentils): Dals are a great source of protein and fiber for infants. They are also very versatile and can be mashed or thinned with broth to create a consistency that is easy for your baby to eat.

 

Khichdi: Khichdi is a traditional Indian dish made with rice and lentils. It is a nutritious and easy-to-digest meal that is perfect for infants. You can add vegetables, such as carrots, peas, and spinach, to khichdi for extra nutrients.

 

Strained fruits and vegetables: Strained fruits and vegetables are a great way to introduce your infant to new flavours and nutrients. Some good options for pre-monsoon include mangoes (in season before the rains!), pears, peaches, plums, papayas, and bananas.
